The Victron VE.Bus BMS V2 is an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) designed specifically for use with Victron Lithium Battery Smart (LiFePO4) batteries in systems incorporating Victron MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, Quattro, and Phoenix VE.Bus inverter/chargers. Acting as the central safety and control hub of a lithium battery installation, the VE.Bus BMS V2 continuously monitors battery status and protects individual cells against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-temperature, and under-temperature conditions.
The VE.Bus BMS V2 provides intelligent control of connected chargers, loads, and inverter/chargers to prevent battery damage and maximise system reliability. It can automatically disconnect loads during low-voltage events, disable charging during unsafe operating conditions, and generate pre-alarm warnings before critical battery conditions occur.
Compared with the original VE.Bus BMS, the V2 version adds support for GX devices, VE.Bus Smart Dongles, Digital Multi Control panels, remote on/off functionality, and enhanced integration with Victron's DVCC (Distributed Voltage and Current Control) ecosystem.

Battery Cell Protection
The VE.Bus BMS V2 continuously monitors each battery cell through the battery's integrated BTV (Balancing, Temperature and Voltage) system and automatically responds to unsafe conditions before damage can occur.
Load Disconnect Function
When battery voltage becomes critically low, the BMS can disconnect loads to prevent excessive battery discharge and protect battery health.
Charge Disconnect Function
If battery cells reach high voltage limits or unsafe temperatures, the BMS automatically disables charging sources to prevent battery damage.
Pre-Alarm Output
A dedicated pre-alarm output provides an early warning before a low-voltage shutdown occurs, allowing corrective action before the system disconnects.
GX Device Integration
