The Victron Cyrix-Li-ct 12/24V-120A is an intelligent battery combiner relay (Voltage Sensitive Relay – VSR) specifically designed for Victron Lithium (LiFePO4) battery systems. It automatically connects and disconnects battery banks based on charging conditions while remaining under the control of a Victron BMS, making it ideal for alternator charging applications in motorhomes, campervans, boats, off-grid systems, and mobile power installations.
Unlike the Cyrix-Li-Charge models, which are intended to control battery chargers, the Cyrix-Li-ct is designed to connect and isolate battery banks. It allows charging from an alternator while ensuring lithium battery protection through integration with the Victron BMS. If the BMS detects unsafe conditions such as cell under-voltage, over-voltage, or excessive temperature, the relay automatically disconnects the battery bank.

How the Cyrix-Li-ct Works
Intelligent Battery Combining
The Cyrix-Li-ct automatically connects two battery banks when charging voltage is present and disconnects them when charging stops. This allows charging energy from an alternator or charging source to be shared safely between battery banks.
Lithium Battery Protection
The relay works in conjunction with a Victron Battery Management System. If the BMS detects:

- Cell over-voltage
- High temperature
- Unsafe battery conditions
the relay opens immediately to protect the lithium battery bank.
