Instead, your smartphone or tablet becomes the display via the free VictronConnect app, allowing you to monitor battery status, state of charge, power consumption, historical data, and system performance in real time. It is an ideal solution for motorhomes, campervans, caravans, marine systems, off-grid solar installations, and backup power applications.
Designed as a modern alternative to the Victron BMV battery monitor range, the SmartShunt reduces wiring complexity while still providing comprehensive battery monitoring. It features built-in Bluetooth connectivity, a VE.Direct communication port, and an auxiliary input that can be configured for second battery monitoring, midpoint voltage monitoring, or temperature sensing.
The SmartShunt is compatible with virtually all battery types, including Lithium (LiFePO4), AGM, Gel, and Flooded Lead-Acid batteries, making it suitable for a wide range of energy storage systems.

The SmartShunt continuously calculates and displays battery voltage, charging and discharge current, power consumption (Watts), amp-hours consumed, battery state of charge, remaining runtime, and historical battery performance data — providing a far more accurate picture of battery health than voltage readings alone.
Bluetooth Smart Connectivity
Using the free VictronConnect app, users can monitor battery performance in real time, view state of charge, access historical battery data, configure battery settings, receive alarm notifications, and update firmware wirelessly. No separate display panel is required.
Auxiliary Monitoring Input
The auxiliary connection can be configured to monitor a starter battery, measure battery temperature, or monitor midpoint voltage in larger battery banks, making the SmartShunt suitable for advanced multi-battery installations.
Victron System Integration
